Over the years, I have come across so many great uses for wax paper.
My one of favorite uses is to line the top of the kitchen cabinets to protect against dust and grease build-up. I replace it every couple of months and between replenishing them, I clean around the corners to keep those areas clean. It surely minimizes the amount of grease build-up and time required to clean. Secondly, using wax paper on fixtures as a buffer will get rid of water marks.
Give it a go on your kitchen faucets, and tell me what you think? Lastly, if you want to get rid of dust and dirt on the floor, measure then cut a piece of the wax paper and attach it to a wet mop/Swiffer ,then sweep away. A cleaning cloth size is probably a good fit.
